The 11th Annual Recovery Conference is to take place at Telford Minster celebrating recovery in Telford and Wrekin on Thursday 26 September 2024. As part of Recovery Month in September, Telford & Wrekin Council and the Telford Recovery Partnership will be hosting the 11th Annual Recovery Conference at Telford Minster.
This event is the longest continuously running one of its kind in the region and this year the focus will be on the development, and successes, of the vibrant recovery community in Telford.
From 8.30am – 4pm delegates will hear from individuals who are part of the recovery community in Telford and Wrekin, share in celebrating individual successes in the pursuit of recovery. The event will highlight some of the positive work being carried out in Telford and Wrekin by support services and the positive outcomes that have resulted from the work.
Councillor Kelly Middleton (Labour) Cabinet Member for Healthier, Safer & Stronger Communities and Partnerships said “The Annual Recovery Conference is a great opportunity for the recovery community of Telford and Wrekin to gather for a shared celebration. Their support of each other is fantastic to see. The conference programme is packed with a spirituality presentation, speakers, award celebrations and opportunities for attendees to come together.”
Telford & Wrekin Council is committed to reducing the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs across the borough and are working closely with partner organisations to implement the Telford and Wrekin alcohol and drug strategy 2024 – 2029.
