Telford & Wrekin Council responds to PCP closure with employment support package
Telford & Wrekin Council is offering support to employees affected by the closure of Precision Colour Printing (PCP) in Telford following the announcement that the company has ceased trading and approximately 150 jobs have been lost.
The Council is working with partners to ensure that those impacted are aware of the practical support available to help them move into new employment, training or reskilling opportunities as quickly as possible.
The Skills for Growth Partnership, led by the Council, can work directly with businesses and affected employees to provide tailored support. This includes access to training, careers advice, skills assessments and introductions to local employers who are currently recruiting. Employers looking to fill vacancies are also encouraged to contact the team.
Residents seeking employment support can access free assistance through Telford Job Box, including help with CV writing, interview preparation, job searching and applications. The service operates as a drop in at Southwater One, Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm, or by calling 01952 382888. Support is also available through local training providers who can help individuals retrain or gain new qualifications.

"We understand the uncertainty that redundancy can bring and want people to know that support is available. Whether someone needs help finding a new job, updating their skills or exploring training opportunities, our teams are ready to provide one to one support and practical advice.
"Telford has a strong and resilient business community, with employers across a range of sectors continuing to recruit. We are committed to helping those affected take their next steps with confidence and access the opportunities available in our Borough."
