The renewed contract, which followed the Council’s tender process, ensures that specialist support for domestic abuse survivors and their families, as well as dedicated support for children and young people affected by domestic abuse, will continue without interruption. Residents can be reassured that the service they know and trust remains in place, with the same contact details and the same commitment to providing compassionate, expert help.

The Council recognises that for those experiencing domestic abuse, stability and consistency in available support can make a critical difference. By continuing its partnership with Cranstoun and West Mercia Women's Aid, Telford & Wrekin is providing residents with the confidence that help is always there when they need it most.

Councillor Kelly Middleton, Cabinet Member for Public Health & Healthier Communities said: “Continuity of care is absolutely vital when it comes to domestic abuse support.

“We know that reaching out for help takes enormous courage, and we want every resident in Telford and Wrekin to feel confident that the help they need is there - reliably and consistently.

“This renewed contract with Cranstoun and West Mercia Women's Aid reflects our ongoing commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our communities. We are proud to offer this stability at what can so often be a time of great crisis for individuals and families.”

“Our teams are dedicated to providing the highest quality support to survivors of domestic abuse and their families, including children and young people.

“We look forward to building on the strong foundations already in place and continuing to make a real difference to the lives of those who need us most.”
