Telford Theatre on Tour outdoor theatre season concludes with a Shakespeare classic
The last of the Telford Theatre on Tour’s outdoor theatre series for 2025 at Bowring Park will take place on Sunday 7 September when The Handle Bards perform Much Ado About Nothing.
The HandleBards are a troupe of four actors who will perform an environmentally sustainable production of Shakespeare’s comedy classic, they carry all the scenery, props and costumes to each venue on their bicycles.
Councillor Angela McClements Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism, Culture and The Arts said ““We’ve absolutely loved bringing Telford Theatre on Tour to audiences across the Borough this summer. It’s been a season full of laughter, storytelling, and unforgettable moments, we’ve already enjoyed A Midsummer Night’s Dream and HMS Pinafore in a beautiful outdoor setting. It is exciting, as this Sunday we prepare for our final show of the season with the brilliant HandleBards performing Much Ado About Nothing. Their unique, high-energy take on Shakespeare is the perfect way to round off a fantastic season. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Bowring Park for one last magical evening!”
In usual HandleBards style expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos and a great deal of laughter. This is an outdoor production, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic to dig into, and dress for the weather!
