Telford businesses invited to Summer Funding Summit to unlock finance and growth opportunities
Businesses across Telford and Wrekin are being encouraged to take advantage of a new event designed to connect them with funding, finance and investment opportunities to support their growth.
Telford & Wrekin Council’s Invest Telford team, working in partnership with Telford Growth Hub, Shropshire Growth Hub and the British Business Bank, is hosting a Summer Funding Summit on Thursday 2 July.
The free, in-person event will bring together lenders, funders, investors and business support organisations under one roof, offering practical advice and direct access to the people and programmes that can help businesses move forward.
The summit is open to businesses at all stages, from start-ups to those looking to scale or plan long-term growth. Attendees will be able to explore a wide range of funding options, understand what investors are looking for and gain insights into how best to access finance.
The programme will include expert-led sessions on funding routes and investment readiness, short presentations from funders and dedicated time for networking with advisers and support organisations.
A highlight of the day will be a fireside chat with entrepreneur Mo Chaudry, who will share his business journey, including the challenges and key turning points that shaped his success. The session will also explore his latest initiative, MOmentum Funding, which aims to support ambitious founders to access the finance they need to grow.
Councillor Ollie Vickers, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for Jobs, Transport and Digital Connectivity, said: “Access to finance remains one of the biggest enablers of business growth, whether you are starting out, scaling up or investing for the future. This summit brings together a wide range of funding expertise in one place, making it easier for businesses in Telford to understand their options and connect directly with the right support.

During the event, businesses will have the opportunity to:
