Telford Bike Hub and Aerial Adventure launch summer programme of activities
Telford & Wrekin Council is launching a packed programme of summer activities at Telford Bike Hub and the Telford Aerial Adventure, running from Monday 21 July to Sunday 31 August 2025.
Nestled within the heart of Telford Town Park, an award-winning green space celebrated for its expansive landscapes and vibrant woodland trails, the Telford Bike Hub offers a gateway to exploration, well-being and active travel. This tranquil, traffic-free setting is ideal for cyclists of all ages and abilities, featuring smooth paths, scenic routes and views that change with every turn.
As well as bikes, up to six people can now join the brand new one-hour Segway group sessions. Receive full training from an expert instructor, before heading out to enjoy the thrill of the dedicated Segway tracks.
Also new for Summer 2025, in partnership with Telford Bike Hub, The National Trust's Comer Woods near Bridgnorth is hosting Learn to Ride sessions every Friday - bike hire is also available as part of their Summer of Play.
And if you have a physical disability and are looking for new, supported ways to enjoy movement, the adaptive bikes at Telford Bike Hub offer a chance to explore, connect and cycle in a way that suits you. Around 20 purpose-built cycles that support a wide range of physical and sensory needs are available to hire with carers riding for free.
Councillor Ollie Vickers, (Lab) Cabinet Member for the Economy & Transport said: “This summer we are delivering one of the most inclusive, exciting and active cycling programme yet.
“With new activities like segways, expanded adaptive cycling, and over 70 sessions running across six weeks, there’s something here for every resident and visitor to enjoy."
The Bike Hub provides affordable cycle hire with a wide range of options - from standard and electric bikes to tandems, adaptive cycles, trailers and scooters - enabling more people to enjoy the freedom of cycling in one of the UK’s most picturesque urban parks.
