Taking place at 11am on Monday 28 December 2026 at the Telford International Centre, the relaxed performance has been specially adapted to create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for audience members who may find a traditional theatre setting overwhelming.

The performance will feature the same giant pantomime adventure, colourful characters and festive fun, but with adjustments including reduced sound and lighting effects, fewer sudden noises and a calmer atmosphere throughout the show.

The performance is designed for adults and children with autism, sensory and communication needs, learning disabilities or dementia, as well as anyone who would simply prefer a quieter and more relaxed theatre experience.

Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure, said: "Everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and excitement of pantomime. This performance of Jack and the Beanstalk helps ensure that more people can enjoy this much-loved Christmas tradition in an environment that feels comfortable, welcoming and inclusive. We are proud to offer performances that make live theatre accessible to as many residents and visitors as possible."

Audiences attending the relaxed performance can expect the same family-friendly story, laughter and festive entertainment that makes Telford Theatre's annual pantomime one of the highlights of the Christmas season, with thoughtful adaptations to support a wider range of needs.
