New Weekly Drop-In Sessions Launch in Malinslee Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies
Starting Wednesday, 21 January 2026, residents of Malinslee are invited to drop into St Leonard’s Church, Alma Avenue, Malinslee, TF4 2DU for friendly conversation, a free drink and a snack.
These new weekly sessions, titled Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies will take place every Wednesday from 10.45am to 11.45am in the church’s Community Space.
Each week, visitors will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from local health, wellbeing, and social care services, including the local vicar, Wrekin Housing Group, Telford Mind, Citizens Advice, the Healthy Lifestyles Team and more.
Councillor Kelly Middleton Cabinet Member for Public Health & Healthier Communities said "Community spaces like this are vital for improving both mental and physical wellbeing. By bringing people together in a welcoming environment, we can help reduce isolation and connect residents with the support they need."
The launch event on 21 January will feature the Wellbeing and Recovery College, which offers free recovery-focused education courses for anyone aged 18+ living in Staffordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. All courses are co-produced by peer trainers with lived experience and professionally qualified trainers, creating a safe and empowering learning environment.
Local community support organisations are encouraged to get in touch if they would like to participate in future sessions and share information with residents.
