More than 4,000 visitors enjoy summer programme at restored Telford Town Park Amphitheatre
More than 4,000 people have already enjoyed outdoor theatre, comedy and live music at Telford Town Park Amphitheatre this summer, with audiences turning out in force for both free band performances and low-cost family-friendly shows.
With three free band days and a range of ticketed events still to come, there are plenty more opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the restored venue. The season will conclude with Shakespeare's Macbeth on 3 September 2026.

- 23 August – The Railway Children
- 3 September – Macbeth.
Residents have been full of praise for the summer programme, describing the events as "fantastic", "brilliant" and "a great weekend". One attendee said: "It was a fantastic, relaxed weekend with fantastic music," while another added: "What a fantastic event. Thank you for restoring this great venue."
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure, said: “The response to the Amphitheatre's summer programme has been fantastic. Seeing more than 4,000 people enjoying performances in this unique outdoor setting shows just how much local people value opportunities to come together and experience culture and entertainment in the heart of Telford. We look forward to welcoming even more visitors over the coming weeks."
With tickets still available for a number of upcoming performances, residents are encouraged to book early and make the most of the remaining summer programme before the season finale in September.
