Families who take part can also enter for the chance to win an unforgettable hot air balloon experience by sharing their summer adventures.

From holiday clubs and sports sessions to outdoor adventures, activity trails and family days out, Level Up helps families find opportunities to stay active, learn new skills, make friends and have fun throughout the school holidays.

Demand is already high for the Council’s popular Happy Healthy Active Holidays (HHAH) programme, with bookings now open and places expected to fill quickly. The programme provides eligible children and young people with enriching activities, healthy meals and opportunities to make new friends during the school holidays.

The Council’s successful 5 by 5 and 10 by 10 programmes are also already live, giving children the chance to try new experiences, build confidence and develop valuable life skills through fun and engaging activities.

The Youth Offer website is a one stop shop for a range of opportunities for young people to take part in sports, creative projects, wellbeing activities and community-based sessions, helping them stay connected, active and inspired over the summer.

Families looking for even more inspiration can visit the Visit Telford website, where they will find ideas for family days out, local attractions, events and places to explore across the Borough throughout the summer holidays.

Families can also start enjoying some of the Borough’s most popular outdoor spaces, including a day out at Telford Town Park, alongside a range of attractions and experiences already available on their doorstep.

And when the summer holidays start, there is even more to look forward to in the coming weeks, with Urban Games and a packed programme of leisure activities launching, many of which are available from just £2.

Councillor Shirley Reynolds, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People, Education, Employment and Skills, said: “There is so much happening across Telford and Wrekin this summer, with activities for all ages and interests.

“Bookings for the next round of Happy Healthy Active Holidays sessions are now open, and places are always extremely popular, so I would encourage eligible families to book as soon as possible.

“Whether it’s trying something new through 5 by 5 or 10 by 10, taking part in a holiday club, getting involved in Urban Games, or enjoying a day out in one of our fantastic parks and leisure venues, there are plenty of opportunities for children and young people to have fun, stay active and make great memories this summer.”

"We’ve also teamed up with Virgin Balloon Flights to give one lucky family the chance to win an unforgettable hot air balloon ride."

Families are encouraged to explore the full range of activities and start planning their summer now.
