The latest scheme has seen a £600,000 resurfacing programme completed at Stafford Park, where around 14,000 square metres of carriageway on the estate's main spine road has been renewed. The work was carried out overnight between 7pm and 5am on weekdays to minimise disruption to businesses and motorists.

The Stafford Park project is part of a wider programme of investment in Telford's industrial employment areas. Over the past two years the Council has completed several major resurfacing schemes, including at Halesfield 1 and 24 in 2025, Hortonwood 30 in July 2026, Halesfield 21 in August 2026, and Stafford Park in September 2026.

Together, these projects represent an investment of more than £1.85 million and have delivered improvements to more than 47,000m² of roads across the Borough.

Councillor Nathan England, Cabinet Member for Safer Streets and Better Housing, said: "Supporting our businesses means investing in the infrastructure they rely on every day.

"Home to hundreds of businesses and thousands of jobs, with many of the Borough's busiest roads carrying significant volumes of traffic, including HGVs, these major resurfacing schemes help ensure the network remains safe, reliable and fit for the future.

"By carefully planning works, including overnight operations where appropriate, we've been able to deliver these improvements while keeping disruption to a minimum."

The works form part of the Council's wider £91 million investment in highways and transport infrastructure over four years, maintaining and improving roads, footways, bridges, drainage systems, street lighting and other key assets across the Borough. Work will continue across employment areas for the coming years including resurfacing and roundabout work, as well as developing roads in the future for continued better transport across the Borough.
