Local people invited to help shape the future of Telford and Wrekin
Telford & Wrekin Council is inviting people who live, visit or work in the Borough to help shape its latest Council Plan – a document which will set out the authority’s priorities and direction for Telford and Wrekin through to 2031.
The online consultation, supported by in-person events, is an opportunity for local people to share their views and ideas to help guide the Council’s work and ensure that future plans reflect the needs of the whole community.
The Council is committed to making it as easy as possible for people to take part.
Telford and Wrekin residents, workers and visitors to the area can contribute their views online at a time that suits them. In addition, Council teams will be out and about across the Borough throughout the summer, attending a wide range of local events to speak directly with people and gather feedback.
By engaging with as many people as possible, the Council aims to build a clear and inclusive picture of what matters most to those who live, visit and work in Telford and Wrekin.
Cllr Lee Carter, Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, said:
“It’s really important that we have clear plans for the next four years, to make sure we’re moving in the right direction, that we know what matters most to our communities, and that we’re aligned with their needs, priorities and views.
“Whether it’s improving local services, supporting economic growth, enhancing green spaces, or building stronger communities, every voice matters.
"We want to hear from as many people as possible. This is your chance to influence the priorities for our Borough over the next four years.
“If you live here, work here, go to school or college here, your views are incredibly important to us, so do look out for us at local events this summer or take part in the online survey.”
To help shape the Council Plan, you can share thoughts on what matters most to you in Telford and Wrekin at www.telford.gov.uk/yourTW
As a thank you for your time, everyone who completes the survey will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a £100 high street voucher.
The consultation is open until Wednesday 30 September 2026.
