One of the standout events this half term is the return of the return of the Ice Rink Scare Maze at Telford Ice Rink on Friday 30 October. The popular Halloween event will transform the rink into a spooky spectacular, with skating, a live DJ, fancy dress, Halloween characters and the return of the scare maze. A special family ticket offer will also be available, making it a frightfully fun night out for families and friends.

Alongside the Halloween celebrations, many activities throughout the week are available for just £2 with a junior resident TLC card, helping children and young people stay active, socialise and try something new without families breaking the bank.

The programme includes popular Fun & Floats swimming sessions, soft play, tennis, badminton, table tennis, driving range activities, tobogganing at Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre, cycling activities with Telford Bike Hub and free community sessions through the Urban Games programme.

Families looking for even more adventure can take advantage of special October offers at the high rope’s attraction in Telford Town Park, while cycling enthusiasts can join the Halloween Glow Ride for an evening of festive fun on two wheels.

The programme also includes dedicated inclusive activities, such as inclusive soft play sessions and a parent and child inclusive swimming crash course, designed for children and young people of all abilities who require additional support in the water.

Councillor Angela McClements, Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure, said: "October half term is always a fantastic opportunity for families to spend time together, stay active and create lasting memories. This year's programme offers something for all ages, from low-cost sports and swimming activities to exciting Halloween events.

"The return of the ice rink scare maze is set to be a real highlight, with plenty of spooky fun for families and friends. Combined with our wide range of affordable activities across the Borough, we're proud to offer opportunities that are accessible, inclusive and great value for local families."

Advance booking is recommended for most activities, and residents are encouraged to check the full programme online to avoid missing out.
