Christmas fun on ice returns to Telford Ice Rink
Families across Telford and Wrekin can look forward to a magical festive season as Telford Ice Rink unveils a packed programme of Christmas-themed skating events this December.
Tickets for all festive sessions are now on sale, with visitors encouraged to book early as popular sessions are expected to sell quickly.
The festive programme includes Santa skate sessions, Christmas jumper weekend, a schools out disco and special Christmas Eve family skates, giving families plenty of opportunities to make memories on the ice throughout the festive season.
Skaters can enjoy a festive visit from Santa during selected sessions across December, while those taking part in the Christmas jumper weekend can receive 10 per cent off their public skate ticket by wearing their favourite festive knit. Telford residents with a TLC card can enjoy an additional 10 per cent discount.
A dedicated family disability Santa skate session will also take place on Friday 18 December from 5pm to 6pm, offering a relaxed and inclusive skating experience for disabled children, adults and their families, with a special visit from Santa.
Children can celebrate the start of the Christmas holidays at the schools out disco on Friday 18 December, featuring festive tunes, lights and plenty of fun on the ice.
A Christmas Eve Family Skate will also return, with special family tickets available for just £30, offering a fun way to spend time together before the big day.
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure, said: "Christmas at Telford Ice Rink has become a much-loved festive tradition for many local families and we're delighted to be bringing back a fantastic programme of festive skating events once again this year.
"Whether you're looking to skate with Santa, enjoy a Christmas Eve family outing or simply have some festive fun with friends, there's something for everyone. We expect sessions to be popular, so I'd encourage people to book early and secure their place."
This initiative supports Child Friendly Telford and Wrekin, helping create a Borough where children and young people are heard, supported and given opportunities to thrive.
