Businesses invited to apply for fully funded AI support program
Telford & Wrekin Council is encouraging local businesses to apply for a new, fully funded programme designed to support the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) to boost productivity.
Part funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), the AI LaunchPad Programme, delivered in partnership with Invest Telford, the Council’s business support team, Shoothill and European Innovation Ltd, will support a targeted number of small and medium sized businesses that are ready to integrate AI into their systems and processes.
The programme offers a unique opportunity for businesses to explore how AI can improve day-to-day operations, reduce costs and build resilience.
Participants will take part in a workshop with AI specialists in early October at The Quad, Station Quarter, where sessions will cover real-word AI case studies, interactive exercises to identify bottlenecks and tools showcase featuring accessible platforms such as ChatGPT and Zapier.
In addition, each business will receive up to five hours of tailored one-to-one support, including a business process audit, an individual AI implementation plan and coaching on the use of specific AI tools. Follow-up support will also be available to help participants track early adoption and measure productivity improvements, ensuring changes deliver meaningful impact.
