Accessible performances ensure everyone can enjoy the magic of Telford Theatre’s Jack and the Beanstalk
More families will be able to enjoy the magic of pantomime this Christmas as Jack and The Beanstalk at Telford Theatre offers both a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performance and a dedicated relaxed performance.
The festive family spectacular runs from 15 December 2026 to 2 January 2027 and features a star-studded cast including Ian Smith as Dame Trott, Carl Dutfield as Carl the Cow, Scott Wright as Fleshcreep, Sally Cove as Princess Jill, Ryan Rooth as Jack and Georgina Newton as The Fairy.
The production's accessible performances include a BSL interpreted performance at 6.30pm on Sunday 20 December 2026 and a relaxed performance at 11am on Monday 28 December 2026.
The relaxed performance has been specially adapted to create a more welcoming environment for adults and children with autism, sensory communication disorders or learning difficulties. It may also be more suitable for people living with dementia and those who prefer a gentler theatre experience, with adjustments made to reduce loud noises and create a calmer atmosphere.
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure, said: "Everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre and create special memories with family and friends. We're proud to offer both BSL interpreted and relaxed performances of Jack and the Beanstalk, helping to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy this much-loved Christmas tradition in a way that works for them."
Packed with laughter, spectacular scenery, colourful costumes, magical effects and plenty of audience participation, Jack and The Beanstalk promises festive fun for all ages.
Tickets for all performances, including the accessible performances, are on sale now via the Telford Theatre website.
