A giant 3D panto adventure comes to Telford this Christmas
Telford’s pantomime is back! Bigger, better and more spectacular than ever before, with returning favourites Ian Smith and Carl Dutfield, plus an incredible 3D Giant bringing a whole new dimension to the show.
Families across Telford and Wrekin and beyond are invited to join a giant adventure this Christmas as Jack and the Beanstalk arrives at Telford International Centre from 17 December 2026 until 2 January 2027, with tickets on sale now.
This year’s production promises to take Telford’s annual pantomime to another level, with more laughs, more spectacle and even bigger surprises, including a show-stopping 3D Giant experience that will bring audiences closer to the action than ever before.
Back by popular demand are Telford panto favourites Ian Smith and Carl Dutfield, returning once again as the Dame and Comic following their hugely popular previous appearances.
Their return will bring plenty of familiar fun, comedy and audience interaction, alongside a spectacular new production packed with beautiful scenes, top tapping songs, dazzling costumes, larger-than-life characters and all the festive magic audiences have come to expect from Telford’s Christmas pantomime.
Presented by Telford Theatre in partnership with Shone Productions, Jack and the Beanstalk will bring one of the nation’s best-loved fairytales to life on an epic scale.
At the heart of this year’s production is the spectacular 3D Giant, an exciting addition designed to immerse audiences in Jack’s adventure and create a pantomime experience unlike anything seen before in Shropshire.
As part of its commitment to accessibility and inclusion, Telford Theatre will also offer specialist performances during the run, including a performance tailored to support deaf audiences and an opportunity for adults to enjoy pantomime with a more grown-up twist. In addition to this, we will host a relaxed performance modified for adults and children who have autism, sensory communication disorders or learning difficulties. It can also be more suitable for those who have dementia or those who just prefer a lighter environment and fewer bangs.
We will also be producing a kindness ticket which allows supporters to purchase a £20 Kindness Ticket, gifting a pantomime experience to families living in difficult circumstances across Telford and Wrekin.
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Leisure, said: “We're delighted to be bringing Jack and the Beanstalk to audiences this Christmas. Pantomime remains one of the most treasured festive traditions for local families and we're proud to continue offering high-quality, accessible entertainment that brings generations together.
“Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning as part of an annual tradition, we look forward to welcoming audiences for what promises to be another unforgettable festive season.”
With performances running throughout the Christmas and New Year period, audiences are encouraged to book early to secure the best seats and preferred dates. Book online by visiting https://bit.ly/4qv4lKT
