High Street Celebrations
Following the success over the last two years of the borough town High Street Celebrations, Telford & Wrekin Council are pleased to launch the High Street Celebrations Grant providing direct funding to the Town Councils in the borough to create events for their high streets that will encourage footfall and a shop local ethos.
Celebrations over the last two years, run by the Telford & Wrekin Council culture and events team, have successfully opened up the high streets bringing street entertainment and activities to attract local people and celebrate the many fantastic local businesses across the towns.
Telford &Wrekin Council are now supporting Town Councils to take the lead so they can work with local businesses to make the most of their high streets.
Councillor Carolyn Healy (Labour), Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for climate change, parks, greenspaces, natural and historic environment and cultural services said: “We look forward to receiving somereally imaginative and creative events to enhance the visitor experience to ourhigh streets andadd to the packed programme events for 2023 fromTelford & Wrekin Council.”

Anannouncement of the events that will receive grant funding will be made inearly May.
