Public asked to vote for play park design.

Telford & Wrekin Council are investing in a new Junior Play Park at Telford Town Park replacing the current Junior Play Park and people are being asked to vote for their favourite design.

The play park is for three to eight year olds and the new design will include accessible play and will be for the same age range.

Designers have been asked to submit designs based on two themes; Telford Landmarks/History of Telford and Town Park Flora and Fauna with four final designs going through to be voted on.

Voting will be open from 8 to 16 October and members of the public can vote online at or in person at the Visitor Centre in Telford Town Park, Southwater One Library and Oakengates Library.

Cllr Carolyn Healy (Lab), Climate Change, Green Spaces, Natural and Historic Environment and Cultural Services said:

“We are very excited about this investment and really encourage people to use this opportunity to vote for their favourite design and shape the future of their Town Park. This is a well-used and well-loved facility within the park and I look forward to seeing future generations using this area as voted for by you. This work is part of Telford & Wrekin Council’s on your side investment where we are making our borough a cleaner, greener, safer and more enjoyable borough for our residents.”
