Music line-up announced for 2022 Balloon Fiesta
Prog rock band Focus have been confirmed to play on Friday 26 August as part of the Friday Night Music line up that will see the 2022 Telford Balloon Fiesta get underway.
Alongside Focus playing live on Friday 26 August from 5pm to 9pm at the QE11 Arena, Telford Town Park will be local legends The Dirty Rockin Scoundrels plus party band Gineva.
Cllr Shaun Davies (Labour) Leader Telford and Wrekin Council said
“The new look Friday night entertainment provides a great event for people to drop in after work at the QE11 Arena, Telford Town Park and enjoy some live music as well as food and drink. There are new elements to the Festival this year as well as favourite activities that visitors have come to love about our amazing Balloon Fiesta And of course the spectacular of the balloon flights - scheduled for Saturday and Sunday morning and evening - dependent of course on the good old British weather!”
Balloons will include pilots from the Rainbow Balloon Team, Bristol Balloon Collectors, Matthew Joyce as well as the return of Dolly The Sheep with just under 30 balloons die to take part in the Fiesta.
The We Are Telford Carnival parade, postponed from 17 July due to the extreme heat, will also feature on the Sunday bringing colour, performances and music to the day alongside street performers, family activities and much more.
Telford Balloon Fiesta takes place 26, 27 and 28 August at QE11 Arena, Telford Town Park and is part of the On Your Side investment into events by Telford and Wrekin Council. Timings for the event are; from 5pm to 9pm on the Friday, 12noon to 10pm on the Saturday and noon to 6pm on the Sunday. More details can be found on Facebook @TelfordCultureEvents
