Latest update on National NHS COVID-19 vaccination rollout
*** UPDATE *** (Fri 22nd Jan 7.20pm)
The national NHS vaccination booking system is now taking bookings for Telford International Centre. Bookings are only available for people who have received a letter inviting them to make an appointment.***
More letters from the NHS nationally are due to arrive soon at the homes of residents eligible for Coronavirus vaccination (in line with the national priority group criteria) inviting them to make an appointment through the new NHS national booking service.
The letters ask people to phone or go online to choose between a vaccination centre or a pharmacy service, located within a 45 minute drive from where they live.
If you receive this letter, or, if you received a letter earlier and have been waiting for more local sites to choose from, the good news is that more local sites will be opening soon.
If you don’t want to or can’t travel to one of the sites offered through the national booking service, you can also wait to receive a vaccination appointment from your local GP. If that is the case, you do not need to do anything – but wait to be contacted by your GP.
It is not possible to use the NHS Covid-19 Vaccination Booking Service for people who have not received an invitation letter.
If you have any concerns of queries about booking a vaccination, we may not be able to find answers now, but we are planning a Facebook and Youtube Live vaccination special early next week. More details on that to follow.
