Comedy fans are set to enjoy an informal evening of quick witted entertainment with Phil Butler and friends in the bar at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place on Friday 7 November.

The comedian combines observational humour with the slightly surreal and wacky to create what is widely acknowledged to be one of the best stand up routines on the alternative comedy circuit.

Phil Butler is a familiar face to many in Telford following his starring role in last year’s production of Aladdin at Oakengates Theatre. He makes a welcome return next month to play the part of Hugo Le Gaff in this year’s panto Beauty and the Beast.

Phil will be joined by a host of hilarious entertainers including charismatic comedy whirlwind Abi Roberts and her fast paced set of unique musical impersonations, physical comedy and audience banter.

Herbie Adams will also be entertaining Telford comedy fans in the bar this Friday with his unique combination of musicianship, characters, one-liners and observational humour.

Completing the high energy line up is writer and presenter of Channel 4’s Heavy TV, Tony Marrese who was a finalist in 2012 Hackney Empire act of the year.
