Street Champions – our volunteer Street Champions are out and about doing their bit to keep neighbourhoods tidy. In addition, Lovell staff will be litter picking The Wrekin and the YMCA will be joining others to tidy up in Wellington as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Love Where You Live. Details about becoming a Street Champion and other volunteering opportunities here.
Environmental enforcement – there are 54 places across Telford and Wrekin giving away free dog poo bags. Dog owners are asked to help keep our borough clean by picking up after their pet. Failure to do so could result in a £50 Fixed Penalty Notice. Details of where people can collect the free bags here.
Recycling and waste collections – just a reminder that the new food waste service starts in September and you will find more information here. Also there will be a change in collections for some households in September and details will be in the annual calendars being sent out to households this month.
