Sky Reach officially opens for the summer

Sky Reach, the newly improved and extended high rope adventure course in Telford Town Park has opened its doors, operating 7 days a week throughout the school holidays and weekends until the end of October.

Sky Reach officially opens for the summer

Located within Telford Town Park, the high rope adventure course has four separate elements to tackle. All elements are included in the entry price, sessions are 1.5 hours which includes a safety briefing and harness checks.

Improvements to the adventure ropes course include an extended high ropes course with more elements, more choice and more challenge. The Bornak safety system and full body harness makes sure each person is always clipped on to a safety wire, while allowing participants the freedom to move around the high ropes as they wish.

Customers at Sky Reach can set off on a journey through the woods as they tackle the lower tree course; balance and reach is needed to swing from tree to tree. But for thrill seekers and those who are up for a serious challenge, the higher skyline course offers 12 obstacles at an incredible height of 11 metres.

In addition to the two ropes courses, Sky Reach is also equipped with a 10 metre climbing wall with colour coded climbs for different abilities. If the sensation of free falling appeals, the quick jump descender is a sure way to experience an immediate adrenaline rush! The quick jump then works to slow and land each person safely on the ground.

There is a minimum height of 1.3m for course activities, pre booking is required at the Telford Town Park visitor centre located adjacent to Sky Reach. Bookings can be taken over the phone on 01952 382340 prior to the day, or at the visitor centre if you are in the park. Each 1.5 hour session is priced at £12.50 with a TLC card.

Councillor Rae Evans, Cabinet Member for People Services, Visitor Economy & Partnerships said “The team are so pleased to be opening the new adventure ropes course for customers in Telford and the surrounding areas; Sky Reach will challenge you as you set off on your own thrilling adventure amongst the trees. It’s going to be one exciting summer in Telford Town Park.”
