Young families invited to come and paint on the ice at Telford Ice Rink

Telford Ice Rink will be hosting their first Paint and Skate session on Saturday 19 August 2017 3.30pm – 5pm.

Young families invited to come and paint on the ice at Telford Ice Rink

This special session has been designed for young families where parents and children are encouraged to skate and draw on the ice.

As well as using paint pens to draw favourite pictures on the ice, there will also be face painting on the session. There will be a selection of different colours and stencils to choose from to create a masterpiece.

Telford Ice Rink suggest that warm (and old) clothing is worn for the session as clothing could get stained with felt pen marks. Plastic ponchos will be available (subject to availability) to protect clothing.

Tickets for the session can be pre-booked online at
Painting on the ice will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis throughout the event.

Councillor John Minor, cabinet member for Leisure, Green Spaces & Parks says:

“It’s wonderful to be able to bring this exciting family session to Telford Ice Rink and makes a wonderful addition to the much loved Tots on Ice sessions which take place on a Monday. Telford Ice Rink has a wide variety of different events which will be taking place over the summer and it is nice to see something completely different aimed at our young skaters.”
