Telford Ice Rink is hosting a very special night of fun with live music and giveaways to raise money for Children in Need on Friday 18 November.
With lots of fun activities on the night, it is set to be a great event to raise money for a worthy cause which has been helping children in need for many years.
Why not try Giant on Ice Pass the Parcel or Sumo Suit Racing on Ice, or perhaps get on board for the Giant on Ice Conga that will be taking place.
What about throwing a wet sponge at some familiar Ice Rink faces in return for donations for Children in Need?
Join us at Telford Ice Rink for fun and entertainment.
There will be two sessions taking place next Friday (18 NOV) from 5.15-7.15pm and 7.30-9.30pm, and anybody wearing Children in Need related items such as headbands or t-shirts who poses in front of the winter themed backdrop will get 50 per cent off entry to the Ice Rink for the event.
Councillor Richard Overton, cabinet member for Housing, Leisure and Health, said: “Children in Need aims to raise lots of money every year and encourages local communities to get involved in the fundraising.
“The events at Telford Ice Rink next Friday will, I’m sure, be one of just many fun events taking place around the borough and provides a great chance to raise some much needed funds for charity while having a great evening.
Children in Need has been a televised appeal on BBC One since 1980 with Pudsey Bear making his first appearance in 1985. Sir Terry Wogan was consistently one of the main hosts of the show right up until 2014. After pulling out due to ill health in 2015, this year’s appeal will be the first since Wogan’s death earlier in the year, so will undoubtedly be very poignant.
