New online booking system for Tigers tickets

Telford Tigers fans can buy tickets for the upcoming ice hockey season using a new online booking service, created in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council.

New online booking system for Tigers tickets

The club has joined forces with the local authority to operate the ticketing service, which goes live from 9am on Monday August 22nd.

Season tickets holders will be given priority for the first pre-season friendlies, starting with the visit of Milton Keynes Lighting on August 28th.

Tickets for that game will then go on general sale from 9am on Wednesday, August 24th.

Paul Thomason, Managing Director of Telford Tigers, said: “This service has been used by Telford & Wrekin Council for a number of years, so I am confident it will streamline every aspect of our ticketing operations

“We want to give fans the chance to have a physical, printed ticket, which they will get with this new system. It is essential that we make this process as user friendly as possible.

“Fans can also buy tickets from a variety of locations across Telford, including The Place, Southwater One and Telford Ice Rink. Along with the council’s excellent marketing of events, this will give us fantastic reach to a whole new set of potential fans.

"It has been set up following a lengthy period of work by staff at The Place in Oakengates. I would like to thank them for their hard work."

Season ticket holders will be given a promo code at Sunday’s ticketing event at Telford Ice Rink, enabling them to reserve their seats for the pre-season friendly against Milton Keynes before Wednesday.

This process will be repeated for the following weekend’s game against Hull Pirates.

The ticketing system will then offer general sale tickets for every game across the English Premier League season.

Councillor Liz Clare, Telford & Wrekin Council cabinet member for Sport, said: “It is fantastic news that the Tigers are using new technology to boost attendances – that can only be good for the club and it would be great for Telford if the Tigers go on to have a successful season.”
