Littering prosecution after man dropped parking offence notice
Peter Timmis, 59, of Hinstock, has been left £635.75 out of pocket after being convicted in his absence by Telford Magistrates Court.

The court heard that he was spotted by a Police and Community Support Officer dropping the police notice in New Street, Newport, on 2 December 2015.

He was issued with a fixed penalty notice that was not paid within the required timeframe and so the council prosecuted Mr Timmis for littering.

The court fined him £220, ordered payment of a victim surcharge of £22 and council costs of £393.75.
