On Saturday 11 June Abraham Darby Sports and Leisure Centre is hosting an exciting FREE Les Mills customer experience morning.

Come and enjoy Les Mills classes for free

Internationally recognised, Les Mills is the world’s largest provider of choreographed exercise-to-music fitness classes distributed to health clubs.

From 9am – 1pm Abraham Darby Sports and Leisure Centre will be showcasing a number of Les Mills classes for all abilities to come along and have a go for free.

These masterclasses will be delivered by top UK Les Mills trainers.  The classes are a great opportunity to try something new and all sessions are open to everyone, so there is no need to be a current Aspirations Health and Fitness member to be able to take part.

Classes taking place on the day are:

9-9.45am Body Combat – A high energy martial arts-inspired workout, using moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu.

10-10.45 Sh’bam – An addictive dance workout

11-11.30am Grit Plyo – A high-intensity interval training  (HIIT) plyometric-based workout which uses a bench and combines jumping exercises with agility training to build a lean and athletic body.

11.30am-12pm Les Mills Experience talk – Information about becoming a Les Mills instructor)

12.15-1pm Body Attack – A high-energy fitness class combining athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats

Also present throughout the morning will be Born to Move, which is Les Mills Youth Fitness sessions for 4-16 year olds.

Numbers are limited for these exciting sessions therefore advance booking is essential.

Councillor Liz Clare, cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “We already offer a number of Les Mills classes across our leisure centres, but this is an opportunity for members and non-members alike to try out new classes that they may not have tried before.

“It’s also a great opportunity for non-members to come along and see the fantastic leisure facilities that we have in the borough for free.

“Make sure you get booked on to your chosen sessions soon as I think this morning of free classes is going to prove very popular.”
