Half term leisure activities in Telford and Wrekin
Telford Ice Rink is offering a range of activities for people of all ages during next week’s action packed winter half term between Monday 26 and Friday 30 October.
The half term leisure programme includes a UV Halloween foam party on ice, crash courses and skatathon public sessions.
The skatathon takes place every day next week between 10.30am and 3.30pm. Skate hire is available with sizes starting at baby size three up to adult size 12. Penguin skating aids are available for beginners.
People new to ice skating and skaters who want to improve their skills are invited to try the intensive one week course at the Ice Rink. Sessions start at 10am everyday for people of all ages and abilities.
Skaters can also take advantage of the Halloween foam party between 5.15-9.30pm on Friday 30 October. This features ultraviolent paints, glow sticks and other party products. Costumes optional.
Children aged six months to eight years old are also able to burn off some energy in the Ice Rink’s Soft Play facility, which is open from 10am to 6pm.
Councillor Liz Clare, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “Telford Ice Rink is a fantastic facility and a great place for people of all ages to spend some leisure time.
“We have a busy week of activities lined up to coincide with half term and I am sure everyone who goes will have lots of fun.”
Telford & Wrekin Council’s leisure offer during half term also includes opportunities to take part in tobogganing, badminton, trampolining, football, ice skating, swimming and table tennis as part of an Kids4£1 activity programme. There are also opportunities to win Closer to the Edge High Ropes Vouchers.
