Suggest a Litter Bin

If you know of a part of the borough that needs a new public litter bin, tell us where you think this should go.

Suggest a Litter Bin

The Suggest A Litter Bin Location scheme is part of our Co-operative Council initiative - asking you what you your priorities are for your area.

Telford & Wrekin Council spends £1.8m each year on picking up litter and our Rapid Response teams are working to improve cleanliness by changing the way litter is dealt with.

There are 2400 litter bins already in the borough and the Suggest A Litter Bin campaign is likely to increase this by another 300.

Suggestions from businesses and partners such as parish and town councils are very welcome. You can make your suggestion at

Please provide as accurate a location as possible for bin sites - for instance, outside a property or business, next to a bus stop or a specific grass verge or open space.

All suggested locations will be reviewed although we cannot guarantee a litter bin will be installed and cannot install bins on private land.

Around 140 locations for new bins have already been requested as part of the scheme.
