Oakengates Theatre @ The Place is delighted to announce that this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast is being sponsored by local furniture store Trio Furnishings.

The theatre is teaming up with Trio Furnishings to bring 47 performances of the magical story to Telford this winter, starring Matt Evers from ITV’s Dancing on Ice as Gerald Le Huntsman.

Christmas shoppers are set to be delighted when cast members pay a visit to Trio Furnishings’ showroom on Holyhead Road, Ketley in December.

Trio Furnishings was established in 1970 and is one of the county’s largest independent furniture retailers, with hundreds of items of furniture, flooring and lighting for every room of your home throughout the store.

The stars of Oakengates Theatre’s panto have made special appearances in a dramatic video trailer to promote this year’s spectacular production of Beauty and the Beast.

The video, which can be viewed at www.youtube.com/telfordwrekin gives panto fans a sneak preview of the chaos, calamities and comedy set to unfold when Oakengates Theatre ventures back in time to the French village of Cristimonto this winter.

Phil Butler, who proved popular in last year’s performance of Aladdin, will be back in Telford as Hugo Le Gaff and will be joined for another year by Ian Billings who makes a popular return to the Oakengates Theatre stage as Belle’s father, Professor René Crackpot.

The UK’s former Eurovision Song Contest singer Nicki French will take the role of Witch Guillotine. Danny Mills will entertain audiences of all ages as Madame Cherie Trifle, with Gary Tushaw, who will deliver a West End performance as the Beast and Trixie Waggot will light up the stage as Belle.

Beauty and the Beast runs from 9 December 2014 to 5 January 2015 at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place and tickets can be booked at http://www.theplacetelford.com/, by calling the ticket office on 01952 382382 or in person at Southwater One and the theatre. Tickets are also available for a relaxed performance on 4 January, which has been specially designed for people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders, or a learning disability.
