IT and ancestry sessions
Are you a complete beginner when it comes to computers or want to learn more about your family history?
IT sessions will be tailored to the needs of the group and may include:
- Computer basics
- Introduction to the Internet
- Setting up and using an e-mail account
The first sessions are at Wellington Library on 13 January from 2pm to 3pm and 3.15pm to 4.15pm.
Madeley Library, is hosting further sessions on 3 February from 10am to 11am and 11.15am to 12.15pm.
For those interested in family history, free one hour introductory sessions are on offer on how to use Ancestry - the world's largest online collection of family history records and resources - which is now available free at your local library.
Newport Library will be holding a session on 21 January from 10 to 11am and at 11.15am to 12.15pm.
Sessions will also be held at Oakengates Library on 6 February from 2pm to 3pm and from 3.15pm to 4.15pm.
Councillor Miles Hosken, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture, said: "These courses are another way that Telford & Wrekin Council libraries are helping residents to learn more and expand their skills and knowledge, and what's more they are free.
"We are expecting these slots to fill up quite quickly so places must be booked in advance by contacting the relevant branch.
